1. Agreement

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using HoopCheck, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use HoopCheck.

2. HoopCheck

HoopCheck is a basketball research and community platform intended to help users research professional coaches, teams, leagues, players, and related basketball information.

HoopCheck content may include information supplied by users, public information, and information from third-party services. HoopCheck does not guarantee that every item of information is complete, current, or accurate.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms to create an account. HoopCheck is intended for adults and professional basketball users. Do not create an account if you are under 18.

You must provide information that is reasonably accurate, keep your credentials secure, and not impersonate another person. You are responsible for activity through your account and must promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

4. Reviews and Ratings

HoopCheck permits eligible users to share genuine experiences and opinions concerning coaches, professional teams, and leagues.

Reviews should be based on the reviewer's own experience. You may express negative opinions and criticism. You may not knowingly submit fabricated or materially misleading claims, submit a review for another person, manipulate ratings, create duplicate accounts to influence results, or accept or provide compensation for a deceptive review.

HoopCheck will not remove a review merely because a person or organization dislikes a negative opinion. Content may be moderated when it violates these Terms, the Community Guidelines, applicable law, or valid platform-safety requirements.

5. Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use HoopCheck for threats, extortion, harassment, stalking, hate or discriminatory abuse, doxxing, publication of private information, spam, impersonation, fraud, unlawful activity, malicious manipulation, or attempts to compromise the platform.

Do not publish private phone numbers, home addresses, passwords, government identification numbers, financial account information, medical information, or other sensitive information about another person.

6. Reporting, Moderation, and Appeals

Users may report content that they reasonably believe violates the rules. Reports must be made in good faith and must not be used simply to silence an unfavorable opinion.

HoopCheck may investigate reports and may approve, restrict, hide, reject, or remove content or suspend accounts when warranted. Where an appeal process is available, users may request reconsideration of eligible moderation decisions. HoopCheck may retain limited moderation records needed for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

7. User Content License

You retain ownership of content you lawfully submit. By submitting content, you grant HoopCheck a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt for formatting, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, and improve HoopCheck.

This license does not give HoopCheck ownership of your content and does not prevent you from using your content elsewhere.

8. Intellectual Property

HoopCheck's software, trademarks, logos, original designs, database structure, and original platform materials are owned by or licensed to HoopCheck and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, sell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit protected HoopCheck materials except as permitted by law or with written permission.

9. Subscriptions, Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds

Paid plans, prices, billing intervals, discounts, and included features are shown before purchase. Monthly plans are billed upfront for one month and renew monthly. 6-month plans are billed upfront for six months and renew every six months. Annual plans are billed upfront for one year and renew annually, unless canceled before the next renewal date.

Current subscription pricing is $4.99/month for Pro and $9.99/month for Premium. Discounted 6-month and annual prices are displayed before checkout. A discounted term is charged as one upfront payment for the selected term.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel through the HoopCheck membership controls or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation normally stops the next renewal while preserving paid access through the current paid period.

Unless a refund is required by applicable law or expressly offered at checkout, subscription payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, charged more than once, or have another billing issue, contact HoopCheck Support promptly so the charge can be reviewed.

Payments are processed by Stripe or another displayed payment provider. HoopCheck does not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers in its application database.

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your HoopCheck account through the available account controls. Active HoopCheck subscriptions are canceled as part of the deletion process before the account is removed.

Deletion does not necessarily require HoopCheck or its payment, security, fraud-prevention, or legal-service providers to immediately erase information they are legally permitted or required to retain.

11. Third-Party Services

HoopCheck relies on third-party services such as hosting, database/authentication, payments, identity verification, analytics, security, and other infrastructure providers. Their services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

12. Professional Decisions

HoopCheck is a research and community platform, not a provider of legal, immigration, employment, financial, medical, tax, or other professional advice. Verify important information independently before signing a contract, accepting a job, traveling, paying money, or making another material decision.

13. Availability and Security

HoopCheck is provided on an evolving basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every security threat can be prevented. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.

14. Suspension and Termination

HoopCheck may suspend or terminate an account for material violations of these Terms, repeated abuse, fraud, review manipulation, security threats, unlawful conduct, or other circumstances that make continued access inappropriate. Where appropriate, users may appeal eligible moderation or account actions.

15. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HoopCheck and its content are provided without guarantees that information will be accurate, complete, suitable for a particular decision, or continuously available.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HoopCheck will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on user-generated content or third-party information. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of HoopCheck, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit that infringes another person's rights.

18. Copyright Complaints

HoopCheck respects intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on HoopCheck infringes your copyright, use the copyright-reporting process made available by HoopCheck. A valid notice should identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material, sufficient contact information, and the statements required by applicable law.

19. Changes

We may update these Terms as HoopCheck, its features, or applicable legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
